Booking policy

Deposits, cancellations & date changes

Securing an appointment

A $25 non-refundable deposit is required to secure an available date and time. Choosing a time creates a temporary 30-minute checkout hold; the appointment is confirmed only after Stripe verifies the deposit.

Service prices are listed for reference and are not charged through Stripe. The remaining service balance is due in person by cash or Apple Cash.

Client cancellations

You may cancel through the private management link in your booking email. Cancelling releases the appointment time, but a paid $25 booking deposit remains non-refundable. An unpaid checkout hold can be cancelled without charge.

Date-change requests

Date changes are not automatic and are not guaranteed. Contact Mariana using your booking email so the studio can review current availability and timing.

Travel

Mariana is based in Yakima. Travel beyond 15 minutes from the home base is $0.80 per mile round trip. Locations more than 40 minutes away are quoted at $80–$150 depending on distance.

How booking information is handled

Information collected

The booking form collects your name, email address, phone number, selected service, appointment date and time, and any optional planning notes you choose to provide. The system also records booking, deposit, cancellation, and refund status needed to operate the appointment.

Please do not enter medical records, diagnoses, or other sensitive health information in the booking form. Contact Mariana directly if a private conversation about a sensitivity or accommodation is needed. A parent or guardian should complete the form for a client under 18.

How it is used

Information is used to schedule and manage appointments, prevent conflicting bookings, process the deposit, send transactional booking messages, respond to support requests, maintain appropriate business records, and protect the service from misuse. Booking information is not sold and is not used for unrelated marketing without permission.

Service providers

Firebase and Google Cloud host the site, booking records, authentication, and email delivery. Stripe processes the $25 deposit and payment receipt; Mariana Makeup Artistry does not receive or store your full card number. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy practices.

Retention and requests

Information is kept only as long as reasonably needed for appointment operations, security, financial records, dispute handling, and applicable legal obligations. Email delivery logs are configured for 30-day expiration. You may ask to access, correct, or delete booking information; some records may need to be retained where required for legitimate business or legal purposes.

Essential and optional technologies

The booking flow uses essential Firebase authentication and security technologies, and Stripe may use necessary technologies on its hosted Checkout page for payment and fraud prevention.

With your permission, this site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand visits and page use. Analytics is off until you select “Allow analytics.” Advertising storage, Google Signals, and ad personalization are disabled. Google may process device, browser, approximate location, page, and interaction information under its own privacy practices. You can decline without affecting booking and change your choice at any time using the “Privacy choices” button.

A booking experience for more people

The site is designed with keyboard-visible focus, semantic headings and landmarks, labeled controls, meaningful image descriptions, reduced-motion support, readable contrast, and status messages that do not rely on color alone.
